Customize the main title and message displayed to visitors during maintenance. The title supports basic HTML (bold, italic, links) and the message can contain paragraphs. Live preview is available via the floating button in the admin.

Set a start and end date and time to automatically activate maintenance. The plugin handles activation/deactivation without manual intervention. Ideal for planned updates outside peak hours. Auto-deactivation sends 'Notify Me' notifications if configured.

Automatically enables the HTTP 503 code (Service Temporarily Unavailable) with a configurable Retry-After header in hours (24h default) and noindex/nofollow meta tag. Google understands the page is temporary and maintains your rankings. Compatible with Yoast SEO and Rank Math.

By default, a discreet 'Powered by 1001Web.ca' link appears at the bottom. The PRO version allows you to remove it completely for a 100% custom page matching your client's brand.

Built-in free form that lets your visitors leave their email to be notified when the site reopens. The button text and confirmation message are customizable. A collected email counter displays directly in the admin section. Auto-send on reopening is available in PRO.

Cloudflare Turnstile protection on the 'Notify Me' form and visitor password form. Invisible to real visitors — only blocks bots. Requires site/secret keys from the Cloudflare dashboard (free). No Google reCAPTCHA needed.

Countdown in 3 visual styles: Boxes (classic), Minimal (clean) and Circles (animated). Auto-disables on expiration. When combined with scheduled maintenance, the countdown syncs with the end date. Displays days, hours, minutes and seconds.

Enables system fonts instead of loading Google Fonts — no requests to external servers. No third-party cookies, no tracking, no external analytics. Compliant with European GDPR and Quebec's Law 25. A simple toggle in the admin to enable it.

Share a secure password to give access to specific visitors. The password is hashed with bcrypt via wp_hash_password. Session cookies are SHA-256 signed with httponly, secure and samesite flags. Access duration is configurable (24h default) and all active accesses are revocable in one click.

Grant access by WordPress roles (editor, author, etc.), specific IP addresses or ranges, User-Agent strings, country codes and URL patterns. WordPress administrators always have automatic access. Rules are cumulative — a visitor authorized by any criterion can access the site.

Block unwanted visitors even when maintenance is disabled. Same granular criteria as the whitelist: IP, User-Agent, country and URL with wildcard support. Useful against bots, scrapers and unauthorized access permanently.

Create unique named access links with a configurable expiration duration. Example: 'Client ABC — 48 hours'. Each token is independent and individually revocable. Ideal for sharing access with clients or collaborators without giving them the global password.

Complete history of every access attempt blocked by the blacklist. Displays IP, User-Agent, requested URL and date/time. Buttons to refresh or clear logs. CSV export for external analysis or archiving.

Activate or deactivate maintenance mode from anywhere in 3 secure steps: connect your site, verify identity, confirm action. Visual interface with tricolor indicators (green = online, yellow = in progress, red = maintenance). Works from maintenancegenius.ca without accessing the WordPress dashboard.

Sends a real test email to confirm wp_mail() works on your server. Without working email, subscriber notifications and admin alerts fail silently.

Verifies the HTTP 503 code is properly returned while maintenance is active. Confirms Google and visitors see the correct response, not an error or a cached page.

Writes, reads back and deletes a test value — including through the object cache (Redis/Memcached) if active. Detects object caches serving stale data, a common cause of hard-to-diagnose bugs.

Confirms the protective mu-plugin is in place. It intercepts requests before caching plugins to guarantee the maintenance page always displays — never a cached page.

Detects the presence of WP Rocket, W3TC, LiteSpeed, WP Super Cache, WP Fastest Cache, SiteGround Optimizer or WP-Optimize. Cache Guard normally handles these conflicts automatically.

Verifies scheduled tasks (scheduled maintenance activation/deactivation) can run at the planned time. Alerts you if DISABLE_WP_CRON is blocking the trigger.

If Turnstile is enabled, confirms the site and secret keys are properly configured. Missing keys silently reject every protected form submission.

Summarizes your PHP, WordPress, HTTPS and security salts. Alerts you if your PHP version is end-of-life (EOL) — a security and performance risk.

Controls what happens to your settings if the plugin is uninstalled. By default (off): your settings, presets and stats are kept for a lossless reinstall. Only enable this if you want a full cleanup.

The plugin automatically returns an HTTP 503 code (Service Temporarily Unavailable) with a configurable Retry-After header in hours. Google understands it's temporary and doesn't penalize your SEO. Recommended value: 1 to 24 hours depending on planned maintenance duration.
